What is S.E.K.A ?
S.E.K.A. is the Justice For Cyprus Co-ordinating Committee (Συντονιστική Επιτροπή Κυπριακού Αγώνα) of Melbourne and Victoria. It was created after the 1974 invasion of Cyprus by Turkey, and its purpose was, and continues to be, to to promote a just settlement to the Cyprus Issue. It is comprised of representatives from all the Greek-Cypriot and Greek community organisations of Melbourne and Victoria.
The Cyprus Community of Melbourne and Victoria is well represented on the Justice For Cyprus Co-ordinating Committee, and hosts its regular monthly meetings. The current President of S.E.K.A. is Constantinos Procopiou, who is also president of PASEKA, the Australia-wide organisation.
